When it comes to fashion trends, I generally like to sit on the sidelines and observe. But every now and then, a fashion trend shows up and I have to be an active player. This sums up my relationship with styling the oversized blazer trend

Although, if it wasn’t a trend, the boyfriend / oversized blazer will still be a default selection for me when it comes to buying blazers. I’ve always liked boxy silhouettes, and I believe that most clothing items are better a little more oversized than form fitting. But that’s just me.

The oversized blazer trend had a major fashion moment in 2019, and was the subject of many fashion blogs, especially during fashion week. With street style stars styling it in different ways – draped over a casual tee and biker shorts for an athleisure feel, to pairing with matching pants and heels for a more classic approach, there was no way I would have resisted its charm.
